PGA professional Bill Goggin has 25 years of experience teaching the game of golf. He has served in various capacities as an Assistant Golf Professional, General Manager, and Teaching Professional at the Landings Golf Club in Warner Robins since 1996. He is currently the Director of Instruction at the Golf Learning Center at Southern Landings Golf Club. Bill played collegiately at Georgia College from 1984-1988. Bill was named Georgia PGA Teacher of the Year in 2004. He has been recognized by U.S. Kids Golf as a Top 50 Teacher in the U.S. and has been named as a top regional teacher by both Golf Magazine and Golf Digest.

My Philosophy

Full Swing – You will learn how to improve your ball flight, Bottom Line! I am not interested in creating beautiful swings. I do not subscribe to any teaching method because they seldom work. I want to help you create the ball flight you desire using your own unique style. You are unique and so is your swing. I am not interested in overhauling golf swings. The swing you have can produce better shots with minor adjustments along the way. I take great pride in keeping corrections simple and on task as they relate to the flight of the golf ball.

What to Expect

How do we do this? We start with the main problem which the ball flight. It could be a slice, inconsistent ball contact, lack of distance, etc. My goal is always to relate your ball flight to its cause in your swing. Then, together, we make the adjustments to your grip, alignment, setup, or swing. I promise to educate you in a most fun and painless manner. My second goal is for you to completely understand why the ball is doing what it is doing. That way you will be more adept at correcting ball flight problems when I am not there. If you come for a lesson hitting the ball high and right, you will leave with the ball travelling more low and left. You will have an understanding of the cause and effect relationship between your actions and the flight of the golf ball.

I have a variety of teaching aids and drills at my disposal to aid you in your progress. I have a video system available to give my students a complete picture of the needed corrections. I have a variety of fitting clubs available if your clubs do not fit you properly. If the club is affecting the ball flight, I will let you know and guide you in the best direction. Attainable goals will be established that account for your unique abilities and availability for practice.
